Mia followed Jett into her room, and perched on the desk as he took her bed. SHe rolled her eyes, Make yourself at home why don't you... She thought to herself, smiling at the comment. Jett never asked permission anywhere, and this was her room, so in his thinking, his room.
" Jett, you're 14! What are you doing going about kissing girls?" She rolled her eyes laughing. Mind you, she had been 14 when she got her first boy friend, but that was different. This was Jett, he could act like a 6 year old at times.

Jett giggled, remembering. “Well, she kissed me first, I just thought I would kiss back! Besides, It’s not as though I never kissed a guy-I mean girl. And I’m nearly fifteen f-y-I.” Jett was still grinning as many memories of sneaky songs behind the bike sheds came flooding back.
“What do you mean you’re not surprised. I’m a good boy! It’s not my fault computers aren’t waterproof, and its ‘def-fo’ not my fault if them fish fell out of my water ball.” Jett rolled onto his side to face Mia. “How do you know if you’re going out with someone, when all you done is kiss, gone out for dinner, and cuddled?”

Mia raised her eyebrows, " A guy, now we've let something out the bag haven't we?" She shifted of the desk, it was hard and uncomfortable and her but was numb.
But her eye brows raised further as she listened to Jett's question. " Is this the same boy - woops sorry I mean girl. Well, to be honest I don't know. My boyfriends have never been serous. I've only had two, one cheated and then dumped me, the other cheated and I dumped him. Not exactly the most stable of relationships..." She sighed, man her relationships were screwed up. " So why is this person? what element?"

Jett growled at Mia, “GIRL, it’s a girl and I only kissed a guy as a dare.” Jett giggled when Mia told him she had been cheated on twice, but felt bad straight after. “I’m sorry. I mean I must suck to be second placed, twice. I mean, I’m sure you are like a great girl to date.” That was a big thing for Jett to say as it was the same as coming from a little brother.
“Girls are so hard work.” Jett complained, “I mean, they are so like, ‘you never say you love me’ then you tell them, and they are like, ‘you’re just saying that’ the same when they think they are fat and you tell them there not. Then you go to cuddle them, and then they call you needy, then they dump you.” Jett sighed. “Maybe I SHOULD stick with guys!” Jett laughed.

Mia rolled her eyes, " I'm happy being single at the moment Jett. I don't date for the hell of it." It was true, Mia wasn't that type of girl. And she didn't like girls who though she were. What was the point? Just dating when you didn't even like the guy, that was just a way to hurt people, and Mia could never do that.
" You think it's easy being a girl? All the make up and insecurities and the "does my butt look big in this" stuff. Trust me, guys have it so much easier."
Mia laughed, " Guys are just as bad. Don't give them what they want they go somewhere else to get it. Trust me guys are just as complicated."

Jett shook his head. “Guys are just as insecure as girls, if not more. Girls don’t slag each other off just for looking like they ain’t made an effort in the morning. Guys they would. Then if you dress too good, then you’re instantly gay. I mean, how dose THAT work?”
Jett had to agree with Mia though, guys would go elsewhere for what they couldn’t get in their own bed. “I’m not like that though” Jett decided, “I would always worry about how good I looked, not for my mates, but to make my girl happy.” Jett nodded in agreement with himself, “Yeah, and if I wasn’t getting my fill of love from her, I wouldn’t go top up with some hoe. I would try and find out what was wrong.”
It may have seemed odd for young Jett to have such a clear view of things, but he was concerned with how other viewed him, and high on that list was any girlfriend he might have. “I don’t know. Mia is different though. I was like, worrying about my powers going crazy, then she kissed me. Then they went mega crazy, and yeah. I don’t know why she did, because we had only just met. But how can I not go out with her if nothing bad is going on? It would be like dumping her for no reason!”

Mia laughed, ok Jett was right. " Jett m'dear, it's called being a teenager. And you get 6 glorious years of it. It was true though, being a teenager? It sucked. And being a teenager with powers your couldn't control, that was just plain unfair. I mean, what a hand to be dealt.
Mia sighed, Jett was too young to be worrying about this anyway... how old could his girlfriend me? 14? Honestly. " Talk to her, if she's a good a girl as you'll say, she won't get freaked." Ha! Mia needed to take some of her own advice! She never " talked things out." She'd help others but never herself, she was just like that.
" So anyway... Tell me about this girl! Element? Year? What does she look like!"

Jett shrugged off his being condemned a teenager for six years. “I think I liked being nine. I don’t ever remember a bad time being nine. Oh apart from the fight your mum and my mum…” Jett fell silent. Remembering his mum’s fights always upset him. It changed his view of adults completely. His respect for them all but vanished. Now he saw people such as Mia as his primary role model.
Jett was glad of Mia asking him a question. It gave him something else to dwell on. “I’m sort of scared to ask. I mean. If you had something, even for al ‘wittle’ bit, and you like it, why would you risk it?” Jett sighed. Why were things so complicated. Little did he know that they were going to get much more complicated!
“Her name is Lily.” Jett began confidently, “She is really nice. I mean, she doesn’t prejudge you at all!” Jett was grinning from ear to ear just thinking about her. “even better, she is the same element as me. Oh man, we are going to have so much fun together. Bath time will take on a whole new meaning I bet you!” Jett giggled, thinking about sharing a bath, and all the fun that would result of them both being water elements. “What year is she in?” Jett thought aloud “Well she is 16 so, 11th?”

Mia opened her mouth to answer another one of Jude's questions about relationships, why on earth did he think she had the answers? They were only 18 months apart anyway.
But when Jett began reminiscing about Lily Mia just sat back and listened. She sounded nice enough, a good kid for Jett to be dating,. The next sentance floored her 16?!
Few people actually manage to fall of her seat in shock but Mia did, tumbling off the Desk she was perched on onto the floor. 16... F*cking 16! That wasn't even legal back home! Thats grounds to be charged with perversion! 16!!
" 16 Jett? She's 16!" Mia shrieks resounded around the room. " What illegal! Your 14! Bearly" Ok so he wasn't barely 14 but Mia was in full swing. It was hard to get her angry, but Jett had a knack for it. " What's her surename?" It wouldn't matter if Jett wouldn't tell her. How many girls could there be in year 11 called Lily?

Jett nodded, “yeah, 16” not understanding the extreme response. Mia had quite literally fallen off her chair in shock. Jett tugged a pillow and hugged it to his chest as Mia went volcanic! “YES, 16!” Jett shouted over the fuss, still not getting what her issue was, “It’s not like I’m dating your mum!”
Jett was ready to bury himself under Mia’s bed sheets as Mia-the-volcano erupted. Jett felt like pompei next to her now! “What do you mean just 14, I’m bloody fifteen in like two weeks!” Jett bellowed rudely and angrily. “Just because you ain’t grown tits don’t mean everyone else has to wait for you!” Jett practically spat. He still didn’t get what was wrong. “Hell, screw you, I ain’t telling you her name now. You will like stick a rock up her ass! What’s your problem?! We just like each other like really good friends. We kissed and had fun. Its not like I’m going to marry her tomorrow!”
Jett was so angry, his face was red. “you’re just jealous aren’t you! You just can’t hack it that I’m happy!” Jett half knew he had overdone the tit insults and brining up Mia’s singleness was probably past the line that shouldn’t be crossed, so Jett quickly rolled himself up in Mia’s bed sheets to hide from her wrath. “Why can’t you just be happy for me?” said a muffled sob.

Mia fizzed, glaring at Jett. If looks could kill, He'd be 6 six feet. " Don't you dare Jett!Just because I happen to be single at the moment does not mean there is anything wrong with me or my anatomy. I know you are just trying to get my mad so I'd forget. I know your game!" Mia spat at Jett. She was far angrier than she had been in a long while, Jett was on for it.
" Jealous?"[/b[ Mia voice was suddenly hushed, speaking quietly. In her mind, that was worse than shouting.[b]" You think I'm Jealous?! Oh a girl that can't get a guy her own age so shop around 2 years below her?
When Jett hid under her covers Mia would not relent. " Oh no. You're not getting round me like that again. Jett what the hell?! Don't you know that In britian that ileagal? She'd be arrested? !"

Jett shouted as loud as his lungs could go, “BUT WE LOVE EACHOTHER!”
It was the single, and simple answer to everything. Love conquers all. However, the smart thing would to not say anything else, to let thins cool off, and then Jett might live to tell the tail to his grandkids fifty years from now. However, Jett was Jett and never chose the easy path for himself.
“Besides, you don’t get arrested for kissing a year younger, and you don’t know if we f---ed or not so you can shut up!” Jett liked to win argument. One would think he has had enough practice too! Jett felt this could have won him this one so sarcastically narrated a policeman, “Now, now, you can kiss each other, you’re under arrest, even though you are fifteen and there are murderers and robbers and wife beaters and rapists around, I’m going to pick on you two.”

Mia rubbed her temples trying to get her head round Jett and his "Jettness" ( for lack of a better word). " Love? You're 14 Jett! People your age fall in and out of love more times then u change you socks. Trust me, been there!" There was no getting through to that boy, and she'd have to be there to pick up the pieces at the end. That of kick the sh*t out of Lily, one or the other.
" And yes Jett it is illegal. And yes Jett, if we were back in England it's quite possible that she may be arrested. I don't know what the say is here (( Many because I don't know where "here" is)). But it could be just as bad."
Mia growned to herself, " Think about what you're saying. You say you loves her but you aren't even dating her!"

Jett despised the fact his relationship and also any other relationship he may have in the future, has been put down to nothing. “That isn’t fair!” Jett shouted, “That is not fair. How can you say that this is like that?!” Jett poked his head out the quilt and glared at Mia. “How can you say that. You don’t know what I’m like? I don’t know what I’m like. She is the first person I really love. Why are you taking that away from me?”
