[THIS IS A MAJOR OPEN THREAD. Since it's in a classroom, MANY people can join it at once, the more the better. Anyone in grade twelve can participate, no matter their element. So... let's just see where this goes, shall we?]

He hadn't wanted to come back to class, no way. After getting away with months of skipping, he'd grown used to his freedom, had been enjoying every single minute of it. But with threats of their informing certain people that could get him placed back in hell - known to most as jail - he wasn't about to take any more risks with skiving off. So here he was sitting in the only room in the school without heating. It was freezing cold, trying to heat the room with fire didn't help due to the water students, who just stopped them, not to mention he was bored out of his mind.

Being in grade twelve, and being the leader of the fire element - just because Alex had skipped didn't mean he hadn't practiced. He was experianced at messing around with his powers, and he was doing so now as he leaned back in his chair. His palms glowing with a reddish light, he focused lazily on the energy, moving his hands and shaping it. It was hard to make fire out of nothing and shape it - let alone move it. But he had been messing around with this for a while. He shaped it into a sort of thick string of fire, which he practiced twisting around himself, through the air and around the desk.

"Show off," one of the water students muttered.

Alex glanced at her. "You call it showing off - I call it talent."

"Whatever."

He grinned, rolled his eyes and continued with his messing around. The professor hadn't entered the room yet.
