What would she think of me if she knew what I've done? Josh wondered absentmindedly as he pulled his shirt over his head, replacing it with the white shirt and blue tie he'd decided to wear for their meeting later that night. It was still about two hours until he was set to meet her, so he decided to just change and then hang out in the boys dorm until roughly twenty minutes before six o clock. He lay back on his bed, crossing his arms over his chest and staring at the ceiling with a bored expression. His headphones were in his ears, and as usual his favourite band, Alesana, was blasted full volume. He nodded his head to the music and moved his lips, matching their words but not actually letting any sound escape his mouth. He could sing, he just didn't want to have to deal with the person in the bed beside him if he woke them up from their nap. He would probably end up getting pissed off and blacking out, and he really didn't want to have to cancel his date because he injured someone and got stuck in jail.

His kitten, Storm, jumped up on his lap and started purring, rubbing himself against Josh's neck in a plea for attention. He smiled, unable to ignore his pet. He absentmindedly stroked the furry creature, meanwhile still nodding his head and lip-syncing. His iPod chose that moment to die on him however, and he would have to go down to the library later and recharge it using one of their wall adapters. He tugged the headphones out of his ears and tossed the device into his bag, then resumed staring at the ceiling. Storm lay down on his stomach and closed his eyes, still purring loudly.

A voice distracted Josh from his quiet reverie, and he blinked softly, turning his head slowly to face the other kid. Oh, looks like he's awake now, Josh thought, recognizing the guy to be the one that had been sleeping before. As he asked about Josh's cat, Storm yawned and got up, stretching. Josh winced slightly as his sharp claws dug into his stomach, but then he chuckled and ran his fingers through his companions soft fur. The kitten closed his eyes, enjoying the attention. "Thanks. His name's Storm," he said, glancing back toward the other thunder student. "I haven't seen you around before," he realized. That was kind of strange, seeing as they shared a dormitory. Then again, Josh tended to ignore people around him unless they spoke to him or they happened to be an attrative girl. So maybe he had just been unobservant and skipped over him when scanning rooms before.

"Name's Josh, by the way," he offered, deciding to act friendly, because he had nothing else to do. The minutes were ticking by slowly, sluggish. "Who are you?"

"They are, aren't they?" he agreed, smiling as he looked toward his kitten once again. Someone had just left them lying in a box on the street, left to die, so he couldn't resist taking one of them back with him. He hoped the others had found homes as well, but he could only take one with him. Storm had been sick when Josh had picked him up, so he decided he was most worth saving, and taken him back. He was better now however, and he hardly ever left Josh's side except when Josh had to go to class, where the teachers complained about having pets in the room. This irritated Josh, because Storm didn't do anything bad, just sat at his feet and slept.

"I don't usually hang around up here either," he agreed, then laughed lightly when Kai trailed off. "Except in those special cases," he said, chuckling softly. He was perfectly comfortable discussing sex around anyone but the younger kids, because they acted all grossed out. Except the younger guys. Josh found it amusing when they tried to flirt with their girlfriends, they were such amateurs. It was so simple for him to pick up girls, he often forgot how hard it could be for others. Flirting came very naturally to him, he didn't even have to try.

"Migoto? Ah, yes, I've seen her around a couple times." He recalled what she looked like in his mind. He concluded that she was pretty, but the fire leader also seemed to have an attraction toward her. It was hardly noticable, but Josh was used to detecting slight interest from one person to another. And he didn't want to risk ticking the guy off, because he'd hear Alex could get violent, and the two of them in a fight wouldn't be very pretty. "Kai. Well, nice to meet you. What grade are you in?"

[By the way, the school's in BC, Can. if you didn't know It was the only place in Canada I liked with mountains... ahaha]

"Dude!" Josh said enthusiastically, his face literally lighting up. "I love Alesana!" He was stoked, because he'd met only a few other Alesana fans in his lifetime before. He nursed an avid obsession with the band, and had been to every Alesana show that had ever come to British Columbia before. He had posters and CD's, shirts and even a signatured guitar he'd won in a contest. This guitar was his prized posession, and he kept it hidden in his room at the Academy. If anyone were ever to try and take it, garunteed he would black out within seconds and track them down. He could often be found sitting on his bed and tracing the signatures with his finger.

"I've always been into screamo," Josh said with a shrug. "I grew up around... a rough crowd, and it was the only type of music the local concert hall would play. When Alesana was just starting out they came to play a show there. I snuck in through the back door to watch, and I've been a fan ever since. What got you into the band?" he wondered aloud. He liked to talk to other fans about his favourite band, because he didn't have much in common with other people most of the time, but his love for the Raleigh band was one thing he could talk about with others. "My favourite song is A Most Profound Quiet," he mused. "And Sweetheart, You Are Sadly Mistaken."

Josh laughed when Kai said he looked a lot like Shawn Milke. "He kind of inspired my look," Josh admitted rather sheepishly. He jumped off his bed and pulled the guitar case out from under it, popping the latches and gently taking the guitar from it's place. He was exceedingly careful with it, it was like a child to him. "I got this when I met them for the first time. It has their signatures on it, and Huck's too even though he left. I have an ambition to get Jake's signature, too," he said with a grin and a laugh.

"Sorry," Josh laughed when Kai jumped. "I just totally haven't met another Alesana fan around here for what feels like ages. I mean I heard that Alex kid is obsessed with them, but he's not exactly the approachable type." Josh wasn't afraid of Alex, he just didn't want to start a fight, because of his condition. He was reckless, but he was entirely idiotic when it came to his freedom. He didn't want to end back up in jail. Or in the hospital, if the other kid could kick his ass. Thunder was weak against fire, after all. "I basically did grow up around them, or at least, listening to their music. I love them so much because their music got me through some of the toughest times of my life, so I feel an odd sort of calm when I listen to the songs. And having watched them climb to the level of popularity they have now, I feel almost as happy as I'm sure they do. It's really weird to watch a band you once saw playing in a crappy underground venue playing in something like Warped Tour. I went to Warped, it was amazing. Were you there?"

"I love those videos!" he chuckled. "I laughed pretty hard when Shawn was dancing on the dolly, that was pretty funny. I've seen all of the webisodes. Dennis changed my favourite sandwhich to his, which actually tastes really good. I decided to try it one day when I was bored. Him and his sandwhich ettiquite, it cracks me up." He smiled at the memories of watching the videos. "I had Crump It Out stuck in my head for weeks after watching the one episode. And I've checked behind me for nerf darts ever since that one..."

He swept his bangs from his eyes, still laughing. "Yeah, they are. Those guys are amazing writers. I wish I could be half as good as them."

He chuckled lightly at the question. "Sure, but I could show it to her later, if you want? If she likes Alesana, she's officially cool with me. Anyone who likes them has to have at least one credible quality," he laughed.

He laughed at Kai's comments on the girl trying to run away in the webisode. "No one can get away from those guys," he laughed. "Not even the poor fans that got shot in the ass with nerf darts. Then again, I would probably just steal the dart until they came back to claim it, and that would give me a good excuse to start talking to them." The thought made him laugh again. One of the best feelings to date had been when he'd met the members of Alesana for the third time, and they'd remembered his name. The first had been an introduction of course, when the band was barely known, the second had been months later, so he didn't blame them for not recognizing him, and the third had been about a year and a half ago. To have them recognize him, and they were his favourite band, he'd been in a good mood for the rest of the day.

He listened silently to the conversation between Kai and his sister, grinning and laughing when she screamed into the phone. He was still chuckling when Kai put the phone away, rubbing his ear. Then he happened to see the time on the clock, and he swore lightly.

"Fuck! I've gotta go," he said quickly. "I hate to run off like this, but I have a date tonight, and she's going to hate me if I don't show up!" He winked, grabbed his jacked from where it lay at the bed, and put it on while dashing out of the room. "See you later!" he called over his shoulder.
